The Trust's newly appointed Well-being Champions have got staff across TCAT working hard with their first competition - a fitness challenge! Different activities and times are allocated points, with a weekly winning school - week 1 winners are Hessle High but there's still plenty to play for, who will be top of next week's podium?
Staff at Holderness Academy recently discovered a box of old records and photographs; when they shared this with some of their young people they were in awe when they discovered that Prince Philip had visited the Academy in 1967. They currently have his signature on display in their Main Reception.

On the 1st of April Languages staff at Wolfreton asked Year 7 students to take part in the French tradition of 'Poisson d'avril' where children stick decorated paper fish to the back of somebody whilst trying not to be noticed. Here are some of the unsuspecting victims of this traditional French prank!
Staff at Keyingham Primary thanked parents, children and colleagues who collected items for Hedon Food Bank for supporting the local community. This support will make a big difference to some of our friends and neighbours.

Wolfreton Alumni Thomas Jones and Alice Cannon stepped forward when they heard that schools were looking for volunteers to support with Lateral Flow Testing. On hearing that Howden School needed volunteers to test all the students before they returned for face- to- face teaching, they thought it would be a great idea to give something back.
Thomas, who is in his second year reading Biology at the University of Hull, said “I thought it would be great to support a school in TCAT and help them out by delivering their LFT”. Thomas and Alice have been fitting the LFT around their online Hull University courses and laboratory sessions. “The university has been really flexible and allowed us to gain some valuable experience working in a real-life situation.''
Alice, who is in her second year at Hull University studying Bio-medical Sciences, commented “When I heard that Howden were looking for volunteers, I thought it would be fantastic to put some of the skills we had learnt on our university courses into practice. Plus, if it means that the students at Howden can come back to school safely, then that is a bonus”.
Both Thomas and Alice have found the experience extremely rewarding and a great asset to add to their CVs when they start to apply for jobs on graduation next year.

Following a long and intensive recruitment process, led externally through Gatenby Sanderson, we are delighted to confirm the appointment of Lizann Lowson to the post of Chief Executive Officer. We had an excellent field from around the country and Lizann was the outstanding candidate following the interview process and the unanimous choice of the interview panel.
Lizann is currently working in the field of further education at the Hull College Group and will take up her position in August following the retirement of Dave McCready at the end of July. She is naturally delighted to be appointed and we are looking forward to working with her.

As part of the Trust’s enterprise agreement with Microsoft, staff and learners are able to download and install Microsoft Office ProPlus desktop applications AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.
