Keyingham's Dalby Forest Adventure
On Wednesday 24 May, Keyingham Primary School attended their first whole school trip to Dalby Forest. Pupils in Year 1 to Year 6 explored Adderstone, the North part of Dalby Forest, and participated in team activities alongside their team leaders.
Year 1 completed the Zog Trail whilst Year 2 took part in Dalby's Gruffalo Trail.
Pupils in Year 3 and Year 4 completed Health and Wellbeing activities which involved creating mandala patterns with different forest finds such as twigs, leaves, stones, and pinecones. Other activities included Yoga and exploring the forest using their senses to identify what they could see, hear, touch and smell.
Year 5 and Year 6 pupils used their Keyingham Forest School skills to build shelters using large branches to create safe spaces that they could sit under.
Following the completion of the team building activities, pupils enjoyed a whole school picnic on Adderstone field and had the opportunity to play before travelling back to school.
Overall, the day was a huge success - we can’t wait to see what their next adventure brings!
